We care for 6 weeks to 5 years old, we have Before and After school Care and Vacation Care (Catered for 6 – 12 years old)
Our programs - Our Educational programs are designed to meet each child’s developmental needs and celebrate them as individuals.
Each program is designed to incorporate your child’s current interests, skills and knowledge and is implemented after careful planning. Learning opportunities are paired with purposeful teaching strategies to support your child to develop new skills and build upon existing skills.
We ensure that learning is fun, relaxed and is primarily constructed through play. Our learning environments are designed to be challenging and stimulating. Exploration and investigation are central to the programs which encourage each child to be an active participant in their learning.
Vacation program
Berwick Twinklestar offers vacation care for children aged 5-12 years. Our fun and educational program uses the “My Time, Our Place” framework with a focus on learning through play and leisure, where children are challenged to be curious about their interests.
Our vacation care programs are specific to each child’s interest and include a variety of experiences ranging from excursions (where we go out into the community), incursions (where a provider comes to us), physical activity, project work and more.
Extra Program we offer : We offer free French and Chinese ( Mandarin ) Lessons every week.
Kindergarten Program
Berwick Twinklestar offers a full day 5-year-old kindergarten program, 5 days a week. A qualified kindergarten teacher ( Master of Teaching ) will plan and implement a challenging educational program aimed at fostering the development of each child based on their individual needs and interests.
Activities will include painting, drawing, collage, pasting, clay moulding, sand and water play, puzzles, books, block-building, construction activities, movement and dance, sensory experiences, science and story/discussion time. Children’s imaginations will be further stimulated by dramatic play, dress ups and puppetry.
The program will also extend into topics of social value including road safety, healthy eating, sun smart, dental health, people in the community etc. It is also our aim to build an interest in literacy and math’s and to prepare our 4-year-olds for the transition to school.
